LETS DO A RECAP.

Here was what we did .

MAKING A BOW

Learning how to make accessories such as Petals, Roses, Bows etc... are one of the fundamentals and basics of learning how to make the Ankara accessories. This is so because they are used for enhancement and beautification of our African accessories.
They are used as designs on slippers, bags, shoes, neckpiece etc.
This is why as a creative person, you are advised to know how to make them.

STEPS ON HOW TO MAKE A BOW.
1. Depending on how big or small you want your bow, cut your fabric in rectangular shape
E.g: length 8, width: 4

2. Cut your Waden or light foam a little smaller than the fabric, such that the fabric can cover the Waden.

3. Using your UHU gum apply one after the other all sides of the fabric, as illustrated in the pictures, apply at the top and fold. Then the bottom and then fold covering the top part of the fabric. See illustrations.
4. Take a smaller fabric. Say 6cm long and width 2cm, apply gum to the sides (length) and fold. See pic illustrations.

5. Fold fabric that has either the waden or light foam inside like this. See pics.

6. Using the smaller fabric wrap round the bigger fabric ( see pictures) apply gum at the end of the smaller fabric and close up.
See picture illustrations.
